Azerbaijan Republic provides free of charge education for the most of the students that successfully pass State Admission Examination (SAE). There are also available discounts which depend on various situations.So the final tuition fee of education comes from considering various conditions. Thus we are beginning with conditions that impact to the final cost of payment.We will apply the decision tables to the process of determining final tuition fee which have to pay a student. It is better to present this process by giving 8 basic conditions and 5 basic actions which can create right 7 rules, so we have two-dimensional matrix with one row for each possible action and one row for each relevant condition and one column for each rule.
Conditions
1. You have won the competition during the SAE.
Competition takes place directly during examination. Almost every university gives some vacant places for specialties moreover, in order to enter the specialty student has to be among the best who have applied to the same. 2.You are a refugee from the Nagorno-Karabagh.
Azerbaijan has up to 1 mln. refugees that departed from their hometowns during the Nagorno-Karabagh war (1988-1994). Our government pays, without conditions, all tuition fees for their higher education, as they have financial difficulties temporary.
3. You are a son/daughter of the National Hero of Azerbaijan.
National Hero of Azerbaijan is the highest national title in the Republic of Azerbaijan. The law on the title has been in effect since December 25, 1995. The title is awarded for outstanding services of national importance to Azerbaijan in defense and strengthening of the state system and creation of important national values. 4. You have gained more than 650 during the SAE.
The maximal point during the SAE is 700pts. So if you get more than 650, you probably will be granted to the President Scholarship. It is mean, you will get additional 150 AZN (=140 EUR) every month. 5. You are doing your II bachelor/master degree.
According to the Education Rule of the Republic of Azerbaijan, government pays for the education just once. So second education in the same degree have to be paid by student. 6. You are going to the priority directions specialty.
There a list of specialties that are priority to our Republic. Azerbaijan needs professional in these areas in order to construct strong and stable economy and policy. Among them: engineering, medicine, tutoring. For ones who have chosen these specialties is offered some discounts.
7 You are applying for state universities
State universities, as a rule, in the obey to government, thus they provides all the discounts and social programs designed by the later. Private universities in the other hand, work as non-government enterprises, they pay tax and do not provide the social programs. 8 You are applying for private universities
Private universities have their own discounts for student. So it gives additional complexity to the process of final tuition fee calculating.
Actions
So it is time to present actions after we have listed main conditions. Students are usually subjected to following actions after the SAE.
1.Will be offered 100% discounts (free of charge higher education)
2. Will be offered 50% discounts
3. Will be offered 25% discounts
4 Will be granted to the President Scholarship
5. Will not be offered any discounts.
